Orinda

Nestled in the hills, Orinda is a quiet, family-oriented community with easy freeway access for commuting to Silicon Valley and it has its own BART station for quick commutes to San Francisco.

The Neighborhoods

Sleepy Hollow / Orinda Downs / Orinda Country Club
There is a strong sense of family and of community in these tree-filled Orinda neighborhoods. The Sleepy Hollow Swim and Tennis club just underwent a $3 million rehab, including two new swimming pools and tennis court renovations.

Orinda Downs is known for wide streets and flat lots. The neighborhood’s private Dalewood Park is a wonderful gathering place for all ages, with swings, a play structure, a grassy field and a basketball court.

The Orinda Country Club area features beautiful estates, Lake Cascade and the Orinda Country Club (OCC). The mile-long mile trail around the lake accessible year-round . OCC was established in 1924 and is the proud home of an award-winning swim team, tennis and fitness facilities and Orinda’s only golf course.

The award-winning Sleepy Hollow Elementary is tucked away at the end of Washington Lane in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood.


Del Rey

Situated between downtown Orinda and Moraga, this neighborhood has a strong sense of community and features flat lots and well-maintained gardens. Families love to spend time cheering on their kids at Moraga Valley Pool or playing on the fields at the middle school, Orinda Intermediate School. Del Rey Elementary (TK-5) has a beautiful setting with two creeks bordering the campus, mature oak trees, a natural habitats garden, and views of the hills.


Glorietta
Perfectly situated between Lafayette, Orinda, and Moraga, this neighborhood boasts stunning views of the surrounding hills and some homes look out over the Lafayette Reservoir. Children can take the sweet walking path that leads to Glorietta Elementary (K-5) elementary school as well as the Meadow Swim and Tennis Club.


Wagner Ranch
With rolling hills and wide-open spaces, the Wagner Ranch neighborhood has a bit more of a rural feel than other Orinda neighborhoods. It has quick access the San Pablo reservoir for boating and hiking; Berkeley’s Tilden Regional Park is just over the hill. The Wagner Ranch Nature Area is a nature preserve and historic site that offers hands-on education for all Orinda students, including the neighborhood’s own Wagner Ranch Elementary (K-5). Orinda Park Pool, tucked into the hills, is home to one of Orinda’s top swim teams.


Wilder

Middle (6-8): Orinda Intermediate School is located in the Del Rey neighborhood.

High School (9-12): Miramonte High serves students in both Orinda and Moraga and 98% of its graduates go to college.
